The Living History of Brockham
Join us on either Friday June 1st or Friday July 6th in the Café to explore the living history of Brockham. Tony Hines will lead the discussions, having just completed writing publications on the fascinating history of Brockham. Tony will also be sharing his collection of documents and pictures. Bring along any old pictures or memories that you have to share as well. All Welcome.
If you would like to enquire about any event, please just get in touch.
In June 2015 the shop became the site of a National Chemical Landmark plaque, commemorating the achievements of the nearby former Beecham Research Laboratories.
It was at Beechams’ Brockham Park laboratories that a number of strains of penicillin were discovered, including amoxicillin which so many of us take for granted as a readily available prescription.
The aim of these Chemical Landmarks is to bring chemistry into the community and remind people of how chemists have contributed to human progress.
